Inpatient Pharmacist, Full-Time - East Sandwich

1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to inpatients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication therapy for patients.
3. Monitor patient medication regimens for drug interactions, contraindications, and appropriateness.
4. Provide drug information and counsel patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
5. Prepare and compound medications, including sterile products, in accordance with USP 797 standards.
6. Maintain accurate and complete records of all medications dispensed and patient information.
7. Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
8. Adhere to all hospital and regulatory guidelines and standards for medication safety and security.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining the hospital's accreditation.
10. Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff.
11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the pharmacy.
12. Stay up-to-date on new medications, dosing regimens, and other developments in the pharmacy field.
13. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
14. Handle and resolve any medication-related issues or concerns that may arise.
15. Participate in on-call rotations and be available for emergency medication needs.
16. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
17. Attend departmental meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient care.
