  1. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and their families.
  2. Adhering to infection control standards and protocols.
  3. Performing cleaning and disinfecting tasks in patient rooms, common areas, and other designated areas of the hospital.
  4. Monitoring and restocking supplies as needed.
  5. Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools.
  6. Following proper handling and disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
  7. Responding to urgent cleaning requests and spills in a timely manner.
  8. Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient and effective cleaning practices.
  9. Reporting any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
  10. Providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
  11. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
  12. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and following HIPAA regulations.
  13. Participating in ongoing training and education to stay updated on infection control protocols and best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The Environmental Services Aide I Position At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Requires A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Previous Cleaning Or Housekeeping Experience: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In A Cleaning Or Housekeeping Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Infection Control Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Infection Control Procedures And Protocols Is Essential For This Role, As Environmental Services Aides Play A Crucial Role In Maintaining A Clean And Safe Hospital Environment.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Perform Tasks Such As Lifting, Pushing, And Pulling Heavy Equipment And Furniture, As Well As Standing For Extended Periods Of Time.
