
EMT - Anesthesia Technician

In this role, you will play a vital role in the operating room by assisting with anesthesia administration and monitoring patients during surgery. - Administer Anesthesia: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for assisting with anesthesia administration during surgical procedures. This includes preparing and monitoring the equipment, as well as ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.
- Monitor Patients: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for monitoring patients during surgery to ensure their vital signs are stable and responding to any changes or issues that may arise.
- Assist Anesthesiologist: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will work closely with the anesthesiologist to provide support and assistance during procedures. This may include preparing medications, assisting with intubation, and monitoring patients' responses to anesthesia.
- Maintain Equipment: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all anesthesia equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition. This includes regular cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow Safety Protocols: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be expected to follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients and staff. This may include proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, adhering to infection control protocols, and following emergency procedures.
- Document Procedures: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for accurately documenting all procedures and medications administered during surgery. This includes maintaining patient records and updating medical charts as needed.
- Communicate with Team: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be expected to effectively communicate with the surgical team to provide updates on patient status, report any issues, and ensure a smooth flow of communication during procedures.
- Provide Patient Care: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This may include assisting with patient positioning, providing comfort measures, and addressing any concerns or questions from patients.
- Attend Trainings and Meetings: The EMT-Anesthesia Technician will be required to attend trainings and meetings to stay current on best practices, new techniques, and changes
Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt): The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Emt Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Handle Emergency Medical Situations.
Anesthesia Technician Training: A Minimum Of One Year Of Training And Experience As An Anesthesia Technician Is Required For This Position. This Training Should Cover Topics Such As Anesthesia Equipment, Patient Monitoring, And Medication Administration.
Familiarity With Anesthesia Procedures: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Anesthesia Procedures, Including Preoperative And Postoperative Care, Airway Management, And Pain Management. This Knowledge Is Essential In Assisting The Anesthesia Team During Surgeries And Other Procedures.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: An Emt - Anesthesia Technician Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Members Of The Anesthesia Team. They Should Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Position Requires The Ability To Lift And Move Patients, Stand For Extended Periods, And Perform Physically Demanding Tasks. Therefore, The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Have The Stamina To Withstand The Demands Of The Job.
