- Provide direct support to the anesthesia team by assisting with equipment preparation, patient positioning, and monitoring during procedures.
- Administer anesthesia under the direction of the anesthesia team, ensuring the safety and comfort of the patient.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and ordering necessary supplies.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the anesthesia team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital and department policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and demonstrate professionalism and ethical behavior at all times.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their families before, during, and after procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of procedures and patient information.
- Attend regular department meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements and changes in anesthesia technology and techniques.
- Uphold the hospital's mission and values by delivering compassionate and high-quality care to all patients.
Certification: Must Hold A Valid Certification As An Emergency Medical Technician (Emt) And Be Registered With The National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technicians (Nremt).
Anesthesia Knowledge: Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Anesthesia Equipment, Procedures, And Medications, As Well As The Ability To Assist Anesthesiologists In Administering Anesthesia To Patients.
Emergency Response Skills: Ability To Respond Quickly And Effectively In Emergency Situations, Including Administering Cpr, Controlling Bleeding, And Stabilizing Patients Experiencing Respiratory Or Cardiac Distress.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For An Emt-Anesthesia Technician, As They Will Be Required To Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Clear And Concise Manner.
Physical Stamina: The Role Of An Emt-Anesthesia Technician Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring The Ability To Lift And Move Patients, As Well As Stand For Extended Periods Of Time During Procedures. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Necessary Tasks.
