We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the role of ED Registrar. As an ED Registrar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely registration of patients in our Emergency Department. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills.   1. Accurately and efficiently register patients in the Emergency Department.
  2. Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
  3. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient registration and privacy.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and hospital staff.
  5. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
  6. Utilize electronic health records and other computer systems to complete registrations.
  7. Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure a smooth patient flow.
  8. Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  9. Multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  11. Ensure all necessary forms and consents are completed and signed by patients or their legal representatives.
  12. Accurately collect and record patient payments and co-pays.
  13. Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes.
  14. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Contribute to a positive and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Registration Or Admissions Role Within A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Insurance Verification Procedures.

  • Experience Working With Electronic Medical Records And Proficiency In Data Entry.
