As an ED Registrar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate patient registration and record-keeping in our busy Emergency Department.   1. Accurately and efficiently register patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using hospital computer systems.
  2. Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations.
  3. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to obtain necessary information and answer any questions or concerns.
  5. Collaborate with ED staff, including nurses and physicians, to ensure accurate and timely patient registration and record-keeping.
  6. Utilize excellent customer service skills to create a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  7. Keep abreast of all hospital policies and procedures related to patient registration and insurance requirements.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including updating information as needed and filing paperwork according to hospital standards.
  9. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
  10. Serve as a liaison between patients, hospital staff, and insurance companies to assist with any registration or billing issues.
  11. Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on any changes or updates in procedures or policies.
  12. Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the Emergency Department.
  13. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent patient care and promoting a positive patient experience.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of patient registration and record-keeping in the ED.

Job Qualifications
