  1. Provide comprehensive and compassionate primary care services to underserved communities.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement community-focused healthcare initiatives.
  3. Establish and maintain positive relationships with community organizations and leaders to better understand and address the healthcare needs of the community.
  4. Conduct thorough and accurate medical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, and promote preventive care to improve overall health and well-being.
  5. Advocate for the needs of underserved populations and work towards reducing healthcare disparities.
  6. Demonstrate a high level of cultural competency and sensitivity in providing care to diverse populations.
  7. Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of healthcare services to the community.
  10. Continuously stay informed about current medical practices and advancements in order to provide the best care possible.
  11. Serve as a mentor and resource for other healthcare professionals, including medical students and residents.
  12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
  13. Uphold the mission and values of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in all aspects of the job.
  14. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment to promote teamwork and professional growth.
  15. Act as a positive representative of the hospital within the community and promote its services and programs to potential patients.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Community-Based Primary Care Physician At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Must Have A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From A Reputable Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Be Board Certified In Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Or Pediatrics, Demonstrating A High Level Of Expertise And Knowledge In Their Chosen Specialty.

  • State Medical License: A Valid And Unrestricted License To Practice Medicine In The State Of Massachusetts Is A Must-Have Requirement For This Position.

  • Experience In Community-Based Care: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Providing Primary Care In A Community-Based Setting, Preferably In The Pioneer Valley Region.

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills: As A Community-Based Primary Care Physician, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Build And Maintain Relationships With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Candidate Should Also Demonstrate A Commitment To Patient-Centered Care And Cultural Competency.
