As a Clinic/Practice Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and supporting our healthcare providers.   1. Assist healthcare providers in the primary care setting by performing tasks such as rooming patients, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information accurately and efficiently.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized clinic/practice environment to ensure the comfort and safety of patients.
  3. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols, to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care and promote a positive patient experience.
  5. Greet patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner, and assist with any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow to optimize provider productivity and ensure timely care for patients.
  7. Utilize electronic medical records and other computer systems to accurately document patient information and maintain patient confidentiality.
  8. Assist with basic medical procedures such as administering medications, dressing changes, and specimen collection under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
  9. Monitor and order medical and office supplies to maintain an adequate inventory and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic/practice.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on best practices and advancements in the healthcare industry.
  11. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless coordination of care for patients.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and compliance standards to maintain the highest level of quality and safety in patient care.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient advocacy and a patient-centered care approach.
  14. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the clinic/practice.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent: This Position Requires A Basic Level Of Education To Ensure The Ability To Understand And Follow Medical Procedures And Protocols.

  • Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In A Clinical Or Administrative Role Within A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Primary Care.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Primary Point Of Contact For Patients, The Clinic/Practice Assistant Must Have Strong Communication Skills And A Friendly Demeanor To Provide Exceptional Customer Service.

  • Proficient In Electronic Medical Record (Emr) Systems: Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Uses Electronic Medical Records, So Candidates Should Have Prior Experience And Proficiency In Using Emr Systems.

  • Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Primary Care Clinics Can Be Busy And Fast-Paced, So Candidates Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Their Workload Effectively.
