Completed Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Training Program: A Minimum Of 75 Hours Of State-Approved Cna Training Is Required To Become A Certified Nursing Assistant. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.
Active Cna Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Current And Active Cna Certification From The State In Which They Will Be Working. This Certification Must Be In Good Standing And Must Be Renewed Regularly.
Nursing Student Enrolled In An Accredited Program: The Ideal Candidate For A Per Diem Cna Position At Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Should Be A Nursing Student Currently Enrolled In An Accredited Nursing Program. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Can Apply Their Knowledge In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Essential For A Cna. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Medications, Basic Medical Procedures, And How To Accurately Document Patient Information.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: As A Cna, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team, Including Nurses, Doctors, And Therapists. Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Collaborate And Provide The Best Possible Care For Patients.
