  1. Perform cellular processing procedures in compliance with established protocols and standard operating procedures.
  2. Prepare and process bone marrow and peripheral blood stem cell products for transplant.
  3. Perform quality control testing and maintain accurate records of all processing activities.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and reagents, ensuring adequate levels for daily operations.
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  6. Collaborate with other members of the Bone Marrow Transplant Lab team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
  7. Keep up-to-date with current advancements and changes in cellular processing techniques and technologies.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during processing.
  9. Participate in the training and education of new team members.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations when handling patient information.
  11. Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  12. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  13. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory requirements.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families during the transplant process.
  15. Embrace and uphold the hospital's mission and values in all aspects of the job.
  16. Perform any other duties as assigned by the laboratory director or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Scientific Discipline, Such As Biology, Biochemistry, Or Medical Technology.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Or Research Laboratory, Preferably In A Bone Marrow Transplant Lab.

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) Or Medical Technologist (Mt) By A Recognized Accrediting Agency.

  • Knowledge Of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (Cgmp) And Experience With Aseptic Techniques.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Document And Maintain Records.
