- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on a wide range of biomedical equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, develop solutions, and implement repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other members of the Biomedical Engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
- Respond to urgent equipment repair requests and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Train and educate hospital staff on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff and external vendors to coordinate repairs, order parts, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs.
- Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new equipment and technologies to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care through prompt and professional communication and service delivery.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state, federal, and industry regulations related to biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Act as a role model and mentor for junior Biomedical Equipment Technicians, sharing knowledge and experience to support their professional growth and development.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Biomedical Equipment Technician Or Related Role In A Healthcare Setting.
Associates Degree In Biomedical Engineering Technology Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Medical Equipment Repair And Maintenance Procedures.
Familiarity With Medical Equipment Regulatory Standards And Guidelines.
