  1. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations on a wide range of biomedical equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, develop solutions, and implement repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the Biomedical Engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and schedules.
  5. Respond to urgent equipment repair requests and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime and ensure patient safety.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
  7. Train and educate hospital staff on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
  9. Communicate effectively with hospital staff and external vendors to coordinate repairs, order parts, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs.
  11. Contribute to the evaluation and selection of new equipment and technologies to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service and patient care through prompt and professional communication and service delivery.
  13. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state, federal, and industry regulations related to biomedical equipment maintenance and repair.
  14. Act as a role model and mentor for junior Biomedical Equipment Technicians, sharing knowledge and experience to support their professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Biomedical Equipment Technician Or Related Role In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Associates Degree In Biomedical Engineering Technology Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Equipment Repair And Maintenance Procedures.

  • Familiarity With Medical Equipment Regulatory Standards And Guidelines.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills.
