1. Oversee the maintenance and repair of medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely for patient use.
2. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on medical equipment to identify and address any potential issues.
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and provide timely and effective solutions.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure the timely repair and replacement of equipment.
5. Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
6. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in medical technology to make recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements.
7. Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
8. Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for medical equipment.
9. Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to medical equipment.
10. Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on equipment needs and concerns.
11. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment installation and maintenance.
12. Lead and supervise junior biomedical engineers and technicians.
13. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of patient care.
14. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
