- Oversee the maintenance and repair of medical equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely for patient use.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on medical equipment to identify and address any potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and provide timely and effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure the timely repair and replacement of equipment.
- Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in medical technology to make recommendations for equipment upgrades and replacements.
- Train and educate staff on the proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for medical equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to medical equipment.
- Participate in departmental meetings and provide input on equipment needs and concerns.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for equipment installation and maintenance.
- Lead and supervise junior biomedical engineers and technicians.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the biomedical engineering team.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field.
At Least 7 Years Of Experience In The Biomedical Engineering Field, Preferably In A Hospital Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Medical Equipment And Technology, Including Troubleshooting And Repair.
Experience With Project Management And Leading A Team Of Biomedical Engineers.
Excellent Communication Skills And Ability To Work Collaboratively With Medical Staff, Patients, And Vendors.
