- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based behavioral health interventions and techniques to help patients manage their symptoms and achieve their treatment goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches.
- Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families/caregivers on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient care and treatment progress.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in behavioral health treatments and techniques through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the delivery of care and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Act as an advocate for patients, promoting their rights and helping them navigate the healthcare system.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute mental health episodes.
- Collaborate with community resources and referral sources to ensure patients receive appropriate follow-up care.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Foster a positive and compassionate relationship with patients, promoting trust and building a therapeutic rapport.
Master's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Behavioral Health Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Must Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Patients, Families, And Multidisciplinary Healthcare Teams.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices For Treating Mental Health And Substance Abuse Disorders.
Current Licensure Or Certification As A Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Or Psychologist In The State Of New Hampshire.
