We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health RN Float to join our team on a part-time basis, working 24 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am, every other weekend and every other holiday. As a Float RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to our behavioral health patients, while also having the opportunity to work across various units within our hospital. 1. Provide exceptional care to patients with behavioral health needs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being at all times.
2. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
3. Administer medications and monitor patient responses, reporting any concerns to the attending physician.
4. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
5. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, following all safety protocols and crisis intervention techniques.
6. Serve as a resource and support for patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
7. Float to various units within the hospital as needed, adapting to different patient populations and treatment plans.
8. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, providing updates and receiving feedback on patient care.
9. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings to stay current on best practices in behavioral health care.
10. Display a positive and compassionate attitude towards patients, their families, and fellow team members.
11. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
12. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
13. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and patient needs.
