- Assist Anesthesiologists: The Anesthesia Tech will work closely with Anesthesiologists to help prepare for and administer anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Prepare equipment and supplies: This role will be responsible for setting up and maintaining anesthesia equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies and medications are readily available, and restocking as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs: The Anesthesia Tech will be responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels, during surgery to ensure safety and make adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues: In the event of equipment malfunctions, the Anesthesia Tech will be responsible for troubleshooting and addressing the issue to minimize disruption to the procedure.
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping: The Anesthesia Tech will assist with positioning and prepping patients for surgery, ensuring they are comfortable and ready for the procedure.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility: In order to prevent infection and ensure a safe environment, the Anesthesia Tech will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sterility in the operating room and all equipment used.
- Communicate with surgical team: The Anesthesia Tech will communicate with the surgical team, including the Anesthesiologist, Surgeon, and Nurses, to ensure a smooth and successful procedure.
- Document patient information: Accurate documentation is crucial in the healthcare field, and the Anesthesia Tech will be responsible for recording patient information, including vital signs and medication doses, before, during, and after the procedure.
- Provide support and assistance: During emergencies or unexpected situations, the Anesthesia Tech will provide support and assistance to the surgical team.
- Continuously learn and improve: The Anesthesia Tech will stay updated on the latest techniques, equipment, and procedures in the field to continuously improve their skills and provide the best care possible to patients.
Certified Anesthesia Technician: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Certification From An Accredited Anesthesia Technician Program.
Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment: A Thorough Understanding Of Various Anesthesia Equipment And Their Functions Is Required For This Role.
Strong Communication Skills: Anesthesia Technicians Must Effectively Communicate With Members Of The Surgical Team And Patients, Making Clear And Concise Instructions And Updates.
