Principal Engineer – Public Key Infrastructure

At Wells Fargo, our Principal Engineer – Public Key Infrastructure is a critical part of our team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems. We’re looking for an experienced individual with a deep understanding of the PKI domain and a passion for high-quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven track record of success, and a commitment to excellence.To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the IT field, including 5 years of experience with PKI systems. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, experience with Active Directory and Certificate Services, as well as cloud-based solutions, is highly desirable.We’re looking for someone with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work independently and with a team. Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and maintain Wells Fargo's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems.
2. Ensure the integrity of the system and its data by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
3. Develop and execute security policies and procedures.
4. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners.
5. Monitor PKI system performance and recommend improvements.
6. Work with other teams to ensure the successful integration of PKI systems.
7. Train personnel in the use of PKI systems.
8. Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and customers.
9. Manage and maintain certificates and encryption keys.
10. Identify and address potential security risks.
