- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Wells Fargo's financial controls and processes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of financial controls analysts.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of financial controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial controls.
- Develop and implement new financial controls and procedures as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in financial controls.
- Train and mentor team members on financial controls processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address any control-related issues and provide recommendations for solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present reports on the status of financial controls to senior management.
- Proactively identify potential control weaknesses and work to mitigate risks.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives related to financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Uphold the company's values and ethics in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Controls, Audit, Or Risk Management.
Strong Knowledge Of Gaap, Sox, And Other Regulatory Requirements.
Prior Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role, With The Ability To Manage And Mentor A Team.
