Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Counsel - Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) to provide legal advice and services to our Wealth and Investment Management business. This individual will be responsible for partnering with WIM business leaders to drive key strategies and initiatives with a focus on providing legal advice on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues impacting the business.The ideal candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree and admission to a state bar, as well as at least five years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on securities and/or banking law. In addition, the candidate should have a working knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and the relevant rules and regulations of the SEC and FINRA.The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a customer-centric focus and an ability to provide sound legal advice in a fast-paced environment. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with WIM stakeholders to meet their objectives.
