Collateral Underwriter

Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and decisioning collateral for moderately complex consumer requests. Ensures products meet company and industry guidelines; may include suspending collateral decision until deficiencies are resolved. Depending on division, functions may include review and decision of collateral valuations, condo and co-op project reviews, insurance, budgets, financials, title policies, conversion documents and other supporting documentation to approve requests within decisioning authority levels; assisting with the calculations and preparation of reports for review; works with internal and external business partners to gather information to make appropriate decisions provides quality oversight and mitigates collateral and program risk for our borrowers and our organization.
