Oversee daily operations of the maintenance facility and ensure smooth functioning of all equipment and vehicles.
Manage and supervise a team of technicians, including scheduling and assigning tasks, conducting performance evaluations, and providing training and guidance.
Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner, meeting company standards and safety regulations.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and parts to maintain equipment and vehicle operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and problems, utilizing your expertise in maintenance and problem-solving skills.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including equipment and vehicle history, expenses, and warranties.
Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and safety, to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Continuously evaluate and identify areas for improvement in the maintenance process, and implement necessary changes to increase efficiency and quality.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades to equipment and processes.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professionalism among team members.
Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure that all team members do the same.

Job Qualifications

Strong Knowledge Of Maintenance Processes: A Shop Supervisor At Waste Management Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Maintenance Processes And Procedures, Including Equipment Troubleshooting, Repairs, And Preventative Maintenance.
Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Maintenance Technicians Effectively. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, The Ability To Delegate Tasks, And Manage A Team To Produce Quality Work.
Experience In Waste Management Industry: Waste Management Is A Specialized Industry, And Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Similar Environment Will Have An Advantage. Previous Experience In Waste Management Will Ensure Familiarity With Industry-Specific Equipment And Processes.
Technical Expertise: The Shop Supervisor Must Have Strong Technical Expertise In Mechanical, Hydraulic, And Electrical Systems. They Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Repair Complex Equipment And Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Compliance Standards.
