- Oversee daily operations of the maintenance facility and ensure smooth functioning of all equipment and vehicles.
- Manage and supervise a team of technicians, including scheduling and assigning tasks, conducting performance evaluations, and providing training and guidance.
- Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and in a timely manner, meeting company standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and parts to maintain equipment and vehicle operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and problems, utilizing your expertise in maintenance and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including equipment and vehicle history, expenses, and warranties.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and safety, to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Continuously evaluate and identify areas for improvement in the maintenance process, and implement necessary changes to increase efficiency and quality.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in maintenance technology, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades to equipment and processes.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professionalism among team members.
- Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, and ensure that all team members do the same.
Strong Knowledge Of Maintenance Processes: A Shop Supervisor At Waste Management Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Maintenance Processes And Procedures, Including Equipment Troubleshooting, Repairs, And Preventative Maintenance.
Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Maintenance Technicians Effectively. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, The Ability To Delegate Tasks, And Manage A Team To Produce Quality Work.
