Operate and maintain renewable natural gas (RNG) plant equipment to ensure efficient and safe production of clean energy.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Monitor plant processes and equipment performance to identify and address potential issues.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks and inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement improvement projects for the RNG plant.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of plant operations, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
Comply with all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Continuously monitor and analyze data to optimize plant performance and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices related to renewable energy and waste management.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to report on plant operations and any issues that may arise.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Renewable Natural Gas (Rng) Production Processes: A Renewable Natural Gas Plant Technician Should Possess An In-Depth Understanding Of Rng Production Processes, Including Anaerobic Digestion, Biogas Upgrading, And Biomethane Injection.
Mechanical And Electrical Troubleshooting Skills: The Job Of A Renewable Natural Gas Plant Technician Involves Monitoring And Maintaining Various Mechanical And Electrical Systems, Such As Pumps, Motors, Compressors, And Control Systems. Hence, The Individual Should Have Strong Troubleshooting Skills To Identify And Resolve Issues Quickly.
Experience In Operating And Maintaining Equipment: Waste Management's Rng Plants Use Specialized Equipment For Rng Production, Such As Digesters, Gas Scrubbers, And Gas Compressors. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Operating And Maintaining Such Equipment.
Safety And Environmental Awareness: Working In An Rng Plant Involves Handling Potentially Hazardous Materials And Working In Outdoor Environments. A Renewable Natural Gas Plant Technician Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Environmental Regulations To Ensure The Safe And Responsible Operation Of The Plant.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Renewable Natural Gas Plant Technician Works In A Team Environment, Collaborating With Other Technicians, Operators, And Engineers. Effective Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For The Smooth Operation Of The Plant And The Successful Completion Of Tasks.
