Operate and maintain heavy equipment used for waste management activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy equipment.
Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with company and environmental standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area.
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to equipment usage and maintenance.
Continuously strive to improve work processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Adhere to all applicable regulations and laws related to waste management.
Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude towards job responsibilities.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications

Experience Operating Heavy Equipment: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment, Such As Excavators, Bulldozers, And Loaders. This Experience Should Be In A Waste Management Or Construction Setting.
Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: Heavy Equipment Operators Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations When Operating Machinery. This Includes Knowledge Of Proper Equipment Maintenance, Hazard Identification, And Personal Protective Equipment.
Physical Fitness: The Job Of A Heavy Equipment Operator Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Individuals To Lift, Push, And Pull Heavy Objects, As Well As Sit And Stand For Extended Periods Of Time. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Cdl License: A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) Is Often Required For Heavy Equipment Operators At Waste Management, As They May Be Required To Operate Large Vehicles, Such As Dump Trucks, To Transport Waste Materials. Candidates With A Cdl Will Be Given Preference.
Ability To Work In A Team: Waste Management Operates As A Team, And Heavy Equipment Operators Must Be Able To Work Well With Others. This Includes Effective Communication, Following Instructions, And Being Able To Adapt And Collaborate With Coworkers In A Fast-Paced Environment.
