- Operate heavy equipment to perform various waste management tasks, including but not limited to, loading and unloading materials, moving waste containers, and compacting waste.
- Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or damages to superiors.
- Adhere to all company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.

Experience Operating Heavy Equipment: A Heavy Equipment Operator At Waste Management Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment Such As Bulldozers, Excavators, And Front-End Loaders.
Knowledge Of Safety Protocols: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Operating Heavy Equipment, Including Proper Use Of Personal Protective Equipment And Safe Operation Practices.
Mechanical Skills: A Successful Heavy Equipment Operator Should Have A Strong Mechanical Aptitude And Be Able To Troubleshoot And Perform Minor Repairs On Equipment In The Field.
Valid Cdl And Clean Driving Record: A Commercial Driver’s License (Cdl) Is Required For Heavy Equipment Operators At Waste Management, So Candidates Must Have A Valid Cdl And A Clean Driving Record To Be Considered For The Position.
Ability To Work In Various Weather Conditions: Waste Management Operates Year-Round, And Heavy Equipment Operators Must Be Able To Work In Various Weather Conditions, Including Extreme Heat And Cold, Rain, And Snow. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Job In These Conditions.
