- Oversee all aspects of the district landfill operations, including daily activities, maintenance, and long-term planning.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and company standards, including proper handling, disposal, and documentation of waste.
- Monitor and maintain landfill gas systems and leachate collection systems to ensure proper operation and compliance.
- Develop and implement procedures and protocols to improve and maintain the safety and efficiency of the landfill operations.
- Supervise and train staff to ensure they are following proper procedures and protocols, and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for waste diversion and reduction.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify any potential issues and ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Manage budget and expenses for the district landfill operations, including forecasting and cost control measures.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in landfill management practices, and implement best practices when necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development opportunities for staff.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Landfill Operations And Management.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Waste Management And Landfill Operations.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Interact With Stakeholders.
Ability To Analyze Data And Make Informed Decisions To Ensure Compliance And Optimize Landfill Operations.
