- Operate commercial waste management vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and procedures and all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely and accurate collection of waste materials from residential and commercial locations.
- Load and unload waste materials using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring proper disposal and compliance with all safety protocols.
- Communicate with dispatch and other team members to coordinate routes, resolve any issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and daily activity logs.
- Adhere to all waste management and environmental regulations and guidelines to ensure safe and responsible handling of waste materials.
- Continuously monitor and report any potential hazards or safety concerns while on the job, taking appropriate action to mitigate risks.
- Provide assistance and support to other team members as needed, including training and mentoring new drivers.
- Represent Waste Management in a professional and courteous manner at all times, maintaining a positive image and reputation in the community.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) With Appropriate Endorsements: A Cdl Truck Driver At Waste Management Must Possess A Valid Cdl With The Necessary Endorsements, Such As Class A, To Operate Heavy Vehicles.
Clean Driving Record: Waste Management Values Safety And Requires Its Truck Drivers To Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Traffic Violations In The Past 3 Years.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience: To Be Considered For A Cdl Truck Driver Home Daily Job At Waste Management, Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Operating Commercial Vehicles.
