
Assistant Diesel Mechanic
As a Waste Management Assistant Diesel Mechanic, you will be part of a team of professionals responsible for maintaining a fleet of Waste Management vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while developing your skills in the diesel mechanic field. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of two years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic. You must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must also have strong problem-solving and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of Waste Management vehicles
- Utilize cutting-edge technology to ensure the efficient operation of vehicles
- Comply with safety regulations and customer service standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions
- Perform repairs and maintenance to engines, chassis, brakes, etc.
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles
- Maintain detailed records of service, maintenance, and repairs
- Communicate with customers and team members to ensure satisfactory service
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Follow work orders and repair instructions accurately and efficiently
