Job Description

As a Waste Management Assistant Diesel Mechanic, you will be part of a team of professionals responsible for maintaining a fleet of Waste Management vehicles. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while developing your skills in the diesel mechanic field. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of two years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic. You must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must also have strong problem-solving and organizational skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of Waste Management vehicles
  2. Utilize cutting-edge technology to ensure the efficient operation of vehicles
  3. Comply with safety regulations and customer service standards
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions
  5. Perform repairs and maintenance to engines, chassis, brakes, etc.
  6. Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles
  7. Maintain detailed records of service, maintenance, and repairs
  8. Communicate with customers and team members to ensure satisfactory service
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations
  10. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  11. Follow work orders and repair instructions accurately and efficiently
