As a Teleport Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our satellite uplink and downlink systems, keeping our channels on air and delivering quality content to our viewers.   1. Operate and maintain all satellite uplink and downlink systems at the Satellite Earth Station.
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot any technical issues with the satellite equipment to ensure uninterrupted transmission of content.
  3. Collaborate with other team members to optimize signal quality and minimize downtime.
  4. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of all satellite equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  5. Stay current with advancements in satellite technology and make recommendations for upgrades to improve system performance.
  6. Create and maintain detailed documentation of all equipment and system configurations.
  7. Develop and implement contingency plans in case of equipment failure or signal disruptions.
  8. Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and maintenance of satellite equipment.
  9. Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.
  10. Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and safety standards.
  11. Continuously monitor satellite bandwidth usage and take necessary steps to optimize bandwidth utilization.
  12. Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute satellite transmission of live events or special programming.
  13. Respond to emergency situations and take immediate action to resolve any technical issues.
  14. Conduct regular site visits to assess the condition of the satellite equipment and make any necessary repairs or replacements.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
  16. Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
  17. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reliability of satellite operations.
  18. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  19. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of any issues.
  20. Demonstrate a strong understanding of satellite communications and stay informed of industry trends and advancements.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Or Computer Engineering: A Strong Understanding Of Electrical And Computer Engineering Principles Is Essential For A Teleport Engineer Position. A Bachelor's Degree In Either Of These Fields Is Typically Required.

  • Experience With Satellite Earth Station Operations: Candidates Should Have A Working Knowledge Of Satellite Earth Station Operations, Including Uplink And Downlink Processes, Troubleshooting Techniques, And Maintenance Procedures.

  • Proficiency In Network And Telecommunications Technologies: Teleport Engineers Must Be Well-Versed In Network And Telecommunications Technologies, Such As Ip Networking, Rf Systems, And Digital Signal Processing.

  • Familiarity With Industry Standards And Regulations: Warnermedia Operates Within A Highly Regulated Industry, So Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Including Those Set By The Fcc And Itu.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills: Teleport Engineers Must Be Able To Think On Their Feet And Quickly Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues That May Arise. Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills Are A Must For This Role.
