As a Studio Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and operating the electrical systems and equipment on our stages, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for our crews and talent.   1. Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems and equipment on studio stages.
  2. Ensure all electrical systems and equipment meet safety standards and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute lighting setups for productions.
  4. Operate lighting consoles and other electrical equipment during productions.
  5. Install and maintain temporary power distribution for sets and production offices.
  6. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical systems and equipment.
  7. Respond promptly to any electrical emergencies or malfunctions.
  8. Keep accurate records of all electrical work and maintenance performed.
  9. Communicate effectively with production teams and other staff to understand and fulfill lighting needs.
  10. Train and supervise junior electricians and stagehands.
  11. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in lighting technology.
  12. Assist with the setup and breakdown of lighting and electrical equipment for various events and productions.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  14. Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the studio.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Studio Lighting Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Types Of Studio Lighting Equipment, Including Traditional Lights, Led Lights, And Dmx Control Systems.

  • Experience In Film And Television Production: A Studio Electrician At Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden Should Have Previous Experience Working On Film Or Television Sets, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of The Production Process.

  • Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Procedures: The Safety Of The Cast, Crew, And Equipment Is Of The Utmost Importance On A Film Set. A Qualified Studio Electrician Should Have A Good Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures To Ensure A Safe Working Environment.

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Problem-Solve: The Fast-Paced Nature Of Film Production Often Requires Quick Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills. A Studio Electrician Should Be Able To Troubleshoot And Resolve Any Technical Issues That May Arise On Set.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Studio Electrician Works Closely With The Director Of Photography, Gaffers, And Other Crew Members To Achieve The Desired Lighting For A Scene. The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Collaborate With Others Is Essential For Success In This Role.
