- Review and evaluate media content, including but not limited to TV shows, movies, and advertisements, to ensure compliance with industry standards and ethical practices.
- Stay up-to-date on industry guidelines and regulations to ensure all content meets the necessary requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with various departments, including legal, creative, and production, to address any issues or concerns related to content standards.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to fully understand the context and potential impact of media content.
- Make informed decisions and recommendations for content edits or changes based on industry standards and company values.
- Create and maintain internal guidelines and procedures for content standards, and ensure they are followed by all team members.
- Train and educate colleagues on industry standards and ethical practices, and provide guidance on how to uphold these standards in their work.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as advertisers and regulatory bodies, to address any concerns or inquiries related to content standards.
- Monitor and track industry trends and developments related to content standards, and make recommendations for updates to internal guidelines and procedures.
- Handle any escalations or disputes related to content standards, and work towards finding a resolution while upholding the company's values and standards.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices: A Successful Specialist, Standards & Practices Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Best Practices Related To Media And Entertainment, Including Programming, Advertising, And Content Distribution.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Specialist, Standards & Practices, You Will Be Working With Various Teams And Departments Within Warnermedia. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate Standards And Practices, Provide Guidance, And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
Attention To Detail And Analytical Thinking: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Analytical Thinking To Review Content And Identify Potential Issues Or Risks. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Analyze Complex Information And Make Informed Decisions Based On Industry Standards And Regulations.
Familiarity With Fcc Regulations And Compliance: The Specialist, Standards & Practices Role Involves Ensuring Compliance With Fcc Regulations, Such As The Children's Television Act And The Communications Act. Therefore, Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Apply Them To Their Work.
Prior Experience In A Similar Role: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Standards And Practices Role, Preferably In The Media And Entertainment Industry, Is Typically Required For This Position. This Experience Should Include A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Enforcing Industry Standards And Practices.
