As the Set Lighting Rentals Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our productions have the necessary lighting equipment and resources to bring their vision to life.   1. Manage and maintain inventory of all lighting equipment and supplies.
  2. Coordinate and schedule deliveries and pickups of equipment to and from production sets.
  3. Communicate with production teams to understand their lighting needs and provide appropriate equipment and resources.
  4. Collaborate with the Set Decoration department to ensure proper placement and use of lighting equipment on sets.
  5. Oversee the maintenance and repairs of lighting equipment to ensure it is in top working condition for productions.
  6. Research and source new and innovative lighting technology to enhance productions.
  7. Handle all paperwork and contracts related to lighting equipment rentals, including negotiating prices and terms.
  8. Train and supervise lighting rental assistants and technicians.
  9. Identify and resolve any issues or challenges related to lighting equipment rentals.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures for all equipment rentals.
  11. Keep track of department budget and expenses related to lighting rentals.
  12. Attend production meetings and provide input on lighting equipment needs and logistics.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in lighting technology.
  14. Build and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers for lighting equipment rentals.
  15. Collaborate with other departments, such as Camera and Grip, to ensure seamless integration of lighting equipment on sets.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In The Film And Television Industry, Specifically In The Field Of Set Lighting Rentals.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage And Coordinate Rentals For Multiple Productions Simultaneously.

  • Proficiency In Industry Standard Software, Such As Movie Magic Budgeting And Scheduling, To Track And Manage Equipment Rentals And Budgets.

  • Familiarity With Lighting Equipment And Technology, Including Led Lighting, Dimmers, And Control Systems, To Ensure Efficient And Effective Rentals For Production Needs.

  • Ability To Work Well Under Pressure And Adapt To Changing Production Schedules And Needs, While Maintaining A High Level Of Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
