- Develop and implement product security strategies for WarnerMedia's diverse portfolio of products.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure product security is effectively integrated into all stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met and integrated into product design and development.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in product security to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
- Develop and maintain product security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Train and educate employees on security best practices and promote a strong security culture within the organization.
- Work closely with external security teams and vendors to ensure the security of third-party integrations and partnerships.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, including conducting root cause analysis and implementing remediation plans.
- Communicate security updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and executive leadership.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure products meet all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
- Develop and manage the product security budget, including identifying and prioritizing security investments.
- Represent WarnerMedia in external security forums and conferences.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and tools to enhance product security.
Extensive Experience In Product Security: A Principal Engineer, Product Security At Warnermedia Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Product Security, With A Strong Understanding Of Security Principles, Processes, And Technologies.
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Product Security, Such As Iso 27001, Nist, And Gdpr, And Be Able To Apply Them In A Media And Entertainment Context.
Strong Technical Background: A Principal Engineer, Product Security Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Areas Such As Application Security, Network Security, Cloud Security, And Secure Coding Practices. They Should Also Be Familiar With Threat Modeling And Vulnerability Assessment Techniques.
Leadership And Communication Skills: This Role Requires Someone Who Can Lead A Team Of Security Professionals And Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization. Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are A Must.
Strategic Mindset: The Principal Engineer, Product Security Will Be Responsible For Developing And Implementing A Product Security Strategy For The Company.
