  4. Edit and proofread news articles for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  5. Fact-check all information included in news stories to ensure accuracy.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as video production and social media, to create multimedia content that complements news articles.
  7. Follow company guidelines and journalistic standards to maintain credibility and integrity in news reporting.
  8. Monitor news sources and social media for breaking news and potential story ideas.
  9. Identify and pitch news stories that align with the company's brand and audience.
  10. Manage a team of writers and reporters, providing feedback and guidance to improve their work.
  11. Stay organized and prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely delivery of news content.
  12. Contribute to the development and implementation of editorial strategies and initiatives.
  13. Keep track of metrics and analyze data to inform decision-making and improve performance.
  14. Attend relevant events and press conferences to stay connected with the news industry and build relationships with sources.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or Related Field.

  • 5+ Years Of Experience In News Editing, Preferably At A Major Media Company.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Ap Style And Excellent Writing And Editing Skills.

  • Demonstrated Ability To Manage A Team And Make Editorial Decisions Under Tight Deadlines.

  • Experience With Multimedia Platforms And Social Media For News Distribution.
