- Operate and maintain all broadcast equipment, including servers, routers, switchers, and automation systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless transitions between programs and commercial breaks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, such as audio and video discrepancies, to ensure uninterrupted transmission.
- Monitor and adjust audio levels to maintain consistent sound quality and comply with broadcast standards.
- Ensure accurate timing and synchronization of all on-air elements, including commercials, graphics, and program segments.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing feeds to ensure proper routing and signal strength.
- Keep detailed records of all on-air events, equipment malfunctions, and other technical issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve broadcast operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Knowledge Of Broadcast Technology: A Master Control Operator Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Broadcast Technology, Including Video And Audio Signal Flow, File-Based Workflows, And Automated Playout Systems.
