As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the success of our facilities management department.   1. Assist the facilities management team in day-to-day operations and projects.
  2. Conduct research and provide recommendations for improving facility operations and processes.
  3. Monitor and track maintenance requests and work orders.
  4. Participate in facility inspections and identify any issues or areas for improvement.
  5. Assist in the planning and coordination of facility maintenance and repairs.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facilities management.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the facilities.
  8. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions.
  9. Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
  12. Assist with budgeting and financial tracking for facility-related expenses.
  13. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the facilities management team.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Academic Background: Candidates For This Internship Should Have A Minimum Gpa Of 3.0 And Be Enrolled In A Relevant Degree Program, Such As Facilities Management, Engineering, Or Business.

  • Previous Experience In Facilities Management: While Not Required, Applicants With Previous Experience In Facilities Management, Maintenance, Or Construction Will Be Given Preference. This Could Include Internships, Part-Time Jobs, Or Volunteer Experience.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Intern Will Be Working Within A Team Environment And Will Be Expected To Communicate Effectively With Colleagues, Vendors, And Other Stakeholders. Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are A Must.

  • Knowledge Of Nyc Facilities Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Basic Understanding Of Local Regulations And Codes Related To Facilities Management In Nyc. This Could Include Knowledge Of Building Permits, Fire Safety, And Ada Compliance.

  • Proactive And Adaptable Attitude: Facilities Management Can Be A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Field, So Candidates Should Be Able To Think On Their Feet And Adapt To Changing Situations. A Proactive Attitude And Willingness To Take On New Challenges Will Be Highly Valued.
