  • Oversee and manage all aspects of technical accounting for WarnerMedia, including but not limited to revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in accounting standards and provide recommendations for implementation and compliance.
  • Lead and manage a team of technical accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and analyze complex financial transactions and provide guidance on proper accounting treatment.
  • Own the preparation and review of technical accounting memos and other documentation to support significant accounting decisions.
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements and timely resolution of any accounting issues.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and senior leadership regarding technical accounting matters, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and footnotes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
  • Uphold the company's values and culture, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs).

  • Previous Experience In Technical Accounting Roles, Preferably In The Media Or Entertainment Industry.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Financial Data And Apply Accounting Principles.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance, Cpa Certification Preferred.
