- Oversee and manage all aspects of technical accounting for WarnerMedia, including but not limited to revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and industry standards.
- Monitor and analyze changes in accounting standards and provide recommendations for implementation and compliance.
- Lead and manage a team of technical accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and analyze complex financial transactions and provide guidance on proper accounting treatment.
- Own the preparation and review of technical accounting memos and other documentation to support significant accounting decisions.
- Partner with external auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements and timely resolution of any accounting issues.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and senior leadership regarding technical accounting matters, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and footnotes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance financial reporting capabilities.
- Uphold the company's values and culture, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Extensive Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap) And International Financial Reporting Standards (Ifrs).
Previous Experience In Technical Accounting Roles, Preferably In The Media Or Entertainment Industry.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Financial Data And Apply Accounting Principles.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Present Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance, Cpa Certification Preferred.
