- Design and implement cloud-based playout systems to support the delivery of content across multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and continuously improve the performance of our playout systems.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the cloud-based playout systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Conduct regular tests and evaluations to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our playout systems.
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans for the playout systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cloud-based broadcast technology to make informed recommendations for our systems.
- Maintain documentation of all systems, processes, and procedures related to the playout systems.
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support and upgrades.
- Train and support end-users on the proper use of the playout systems.
- Work closely with the Broadcast Engineering Team to ensure seamless integration of the playout systems with other broadcast technologies.
- Adhere to company and industry standards for security, privacy, and data protection.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance the performance and efficiency of the playout systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and emergency situations.
- Communicate project updates and progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Adhere to project timelines and budgets for all playout system projects.
- Identify and escalate any potential risks or issues related to the playout systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to other team members.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Broadcast Engineering, Specifically With Cloud-Based Playout Systems.
Strong Understanding Of Cloud Technologies Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience With Broadcast Automation Systems, Video Encoding/Transcoding, And Streaming Protocols.
Excellent Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Issues In A Fast-Paced Live Broadcasting Environment.
