Are you a skilled carpenter with a passion for CAD design? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Look no further! WarnerMedia is seeking a talented CAD Design Carpenter to join our Studios team on a temporary basis. As a part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to bring your creative ideas to life and contribute to the production of some of the most iconic shows and films. We are looking for someone with experience in both carpentry and CAD design, as well as a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. If you are a self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a love for all things design, we want to hear from you!

  1. Utilize CAD software to design and create detailed plans for sets, props, and other carpentry projects.
  2. Collaborate with production designers, art directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and bring their visions to life.
  3. Take precise measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
  4. Interpret and translate 2D designs into 3D models, taking into account functionality and safety standards.
  5. Use knowledge of carpentry techniques and materials to construct high-quality, durable sets and props.
  6. Work efficiently and effectively to meet tight deadlines and production schedules.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and tools, and make recommendations for purchasing when necessary.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  9. Continuously strive for innovation and improvement in design techniques and processes.
  10. Communicate with team members and superiors to provide updates on project progress and address any issues that may arise.
  11. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of all designs and constructions.
  12. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a positive attitude, contributing to a collaborative and productive team environment.
  13. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in CAD design and carpentry techniques.
  14. Follow company policies and procedures and comply with all legal and ethical standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Cad Design Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding And Experience Working With Cad Design Software, Such As Autocad Or Sketchup, To Create Accurate And Detailed Designs For Sets, Props, And Other Carpentry Projects.

  • Carpentry Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Carpentry, With A Focus On Set Construction And Installation. This Includes A Thorough Understanding Of Carpentry Techniques, Materials, And Tools.

  • Creative Problem-Solving Skills: The Role Of A Cad Design Carpenter At Warnermedia Requires The Ability To Think Creatively And Find Innovative Solutions To Design Challenges. The Candidate Should Be Able To Visualize And Translate 2D Design Concepts Into 3D Structures.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Safety Protocols: As Part Of The Job, The Candidate Will Be Required To Work With Various Materials And Tools, Including Power Tools. A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Industry Standards Is Vital To Ensure A Safe And Efficient Work Environment.

  • Strong Teamwork And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Be Able To Work Collaboratively With A Team Of Carpenters, Designers, And Production Staff To Bring Designs To Life. Excellent Communication Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Convey Ideas And Ask For Feedback.
