Stocking & Unloading Associate

- Receive and unload merchandise from delivery trucks in a timely and organized manner.
- Stock and replenish shelves, racks, and displays with merchandise according to company standards.
- Ensure that all products are accurately labeled and placed in the correct location.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any low stock or out-of-stock items to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including backroom and storage areas.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move merchandise as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling merchandise and operating equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and achieve department goals.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating products and answering any questions they may have.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding stocking and unloading processes.
- Report any damaged or defective products to management for further action.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated on product knowledge and company policies.
- Meet productivity and efficiency goals set by management.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and increase efficiency in stocking and unloading tasks.
Ability To Lift And Carry Heavy Objects: Stocking & Unloading Associates At Walmart Are Responsible For Moving And Organizing Large Quantities Of Merchandise, Which Often Requires Lifting Objects Weighing Up To 50 Pounds. Therefore, Candidates Should Have The Physical Strength And Endurance To Perform These Tasks Safely And Efficiently.
Attention To Detail: Stocking & Unloading Associates Must Be Able To Accurately Read And Follow Inventory Lists And Product Labels To Ensure Items Are Placed In The Correct Locations. Attention To Detail Is Also Important For Maintaining The Overall Organization And Appearance Of The Store Shelves And Storage Areas.
Time Management Skills: As A Stocking & Unloading Associate, The Ability To Work Efficiently And Meet Tight Deadlines Is Crucial. This Role Often Involves Working In A Fast-Paced Environment, And Candidates Should Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Manage Their Time Effectively To Keep Up With The Demands Of The Job.
Strong Teamwork Skills: Walmart Values A Collaborative And Supportive Work Culture, And Stocking & Unloading Associates Must Be Able To Work Well With Others To Achieve Common Goals.
