Job Description

As the Prepared Food Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing our customers with quality and delicious prepared meals.   1. Develop and implement menu items for prepared foods, ensuring a variety of options to meet customer needs and preferences.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the prepared foods department, including ordering, receiving, and inventory management.
  3. Train and supervise a team of prepared food associates, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines and provide excellent customer service.
  4. Create and maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all health and safety regulations.
  5. Monitor and maintain food quality, ensuring all prepared foods meet Walmart's standards.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as bakery and deli, to ensure a cohesive and complementary selection of prepared foods.
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current food trends and incorporate them into menu planning and preparation.
  9. Handle and resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to prepared foods.
  10. Assist with scheduling and labor management to ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  11. Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  12. Maintain accurate records and reports related to prepared foods, including sales, inventory, and waste.
  13. Work closely with the management team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, leading by example for the prepared foods team.
  15. Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Professional Kitchen Or Food Service Environment, With Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation Procedures.

  • Leadership Skills: Ability To Lead And Supervise A Team Of Kitchen Staff, Delegate Tasks, And Maintain A Positive And Productive Work Environment.

  • Menu Planning And Development: Experience In Creating And Updating Menus, As Well As Knowledge Of Current Food Trends And Customer Preferences.

  • Customer Service: Must Have Excellent Customer Service Skills And Be Able To Handle Customer Inquiries, Complaints, And Special Requests In A Polite And Professional Manner.

  • Time Management And Organization: Must Be Able To Multi-Task, Prioritize, And Meet Tight Deadlines In A Fast-Paced Environment, While Also Maintaining A Clean And Organized Kitchen.
