Power Equipment Operator

As a Power Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of power equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in our warehouse. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and can work well in a fast-paced environment. - Operate power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all power equipment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on all equipment before use and report any malfunctions or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all merchandise is stored in the designated areas.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming merchandise, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Load and unload trucks, verifying the accuracy of shipments and reporting any discrepancies.
- Operate equipment in a manner that minimizes product damage and safety hazards.
- Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Keep accurate records of inventory movements and transactions.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Communicate any issues or concerns regarding equipment, safety, or inventory to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, cleanliness, and inventory management.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed of company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with colleagues and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager.
Experience Operating Power Equipment: Walmart Requires Candidates For This Position To Have Prior Experience Operating Power Equipment Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Electric Order Pickers. This Experience Should Be Listed On The Candidate's Resume And Can Be Verified Through References Or A Skills Assessment.
Knowledge Of Safety Procedures: As A Power Equipment Operator At Walmart, It Is Crucial To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Protocols And Procedures When Operating Heavy Machinery. This Includes Proper Lifting Techniques, Equipment Maintenance, And Emergency Protocols.
