Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.   1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
  2. Maintain the pharmacy inventory by ordering, receiving, and organizing medications.
  3. Process and fill prescriptions in a timely manner.
  4. Handle cash and credit transactions for prescription payments.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  6. Communicate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure proper billing and documentation.
  7. Perform medication therapy management services as directed by the Pharmacist.
  8. Follow all safety and security procedures to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  9. Keep up-to-date with new medications, procedures, and regulations in the pharmacy industry.
  10. Assist with training and supervising new Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
  12. Maintain patient confidentiality and respect their privacy.
  13. Collaborate with the Pharmacist to ensure accurate and complete patient records.
  14. Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or software to ensure smooth operations.
  15. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician - Certified At Walmart Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Meet The Minimum Educational Requirement For The Position.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Certification: The Candidate Must Be A Certified Pharmacy Technician Through The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceuticals And Medication: A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Medications, Dosages, And Proper Storage And Handling Of Pharmaceuticals Is Essential For A Pharmacy Technician - Certified At Walmart.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician - Certified, The Candidate Will Interact With Customers On A Daily Basis, So Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are A Must.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Pharmacy Technicians At Walmart Are Responsible For Accurately Counting, Labeling, And Recording Medications. Attention To Detail Is Crucial To Ensure That The Correct Medication And Dosage Is Provided To Customers.
