General Merchandise Associate

We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated General Merchandise Associate to join our team at Walmart. As a valued team member, you will ensure the highest level of customer service by providing efficient and professional assistance to our customers. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and will be able to handle a fast-paced environment with grace and ease. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of one year in a customer service role, preferably in a retail setting. You should also have a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask. In addition, you will need to be comfortable working with computers and have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Bilingualism and prior experience in a warehouse setting are considered assets.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist customers with purchases, inquiries, and product selection.
2. Ensure that customers have an enjoyable shopping experience.
3. Stock merchandise on shelves and in backroom areas.
4. Monitor inventory levels and restock shelves as needed.
5. Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
6. Follow store policies and procedures in performing job duties.
7. Use point-of-sale systems to process payments and check out customers.
8. Answer customer phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner.
9. Assist with tasks such as product returns and exchanges.
10. Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
11. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
12. Work with management to ensure smooth operations in the store.
13. Process customer orders and returns in a timely fashion.
14. Utilize computer systems to track inventory and process orders.
15. Maintain a good working knowledge of all products and services offered.
16. Provide bilingual assistance to customers as needed.
17. Perform general warehouse duties, such as loading/unloading trucks and stocking shelves.
