Job Description

We are looking for a Diesel Truck/Trailer Mechanic to join the Walmart team and help us keep our fleet of vehicles in top condition. We are looking for someone with a commitment to excellence who can maintain our diesel truck and trailer fleet with a high level of expertise and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel truck/trailer maintenance with experience in electrical systems, diesel engines, and brake systems. We require an individual who demonstrates a passion for their craft and is able to troubleshoot and diagnose any issues quickly and accurately. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and a desire to keep our fleet of vehicles running at peak performance. Responsibilities:

  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel truck and trailer fleet vehicles
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engine, electrical, and brake system issues
  3. Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest standard of excellence
  4. Maintain records of all repairs and maintenance performed
  5. Test and inspect all vehicles and systems and ensure they are functioning properly
  6. Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of drivers and other personnel
  7. Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies to ensure they are sufficient
  8. Provide excellent customer service to drivers and other personnel
  9. Perform regular preventive maintenance on all diesel truck and trailer fleet vehicles
  10. Communicate effectively with other personnel to ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely manner
