Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and leading a team of talented individuals.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by resolving any customer complaints or issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of employees by setting a positive example and promoting a strong work ethic.
  4. Schedule and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring all responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
  5. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and ensure that products are stocked and displayed properly.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  9. Monitor sales and customer trends to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
  10. Communicate effectively with upper management to provide updates on store performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Handle cash and perform other financial tasks, such as opening and closing the store and reconciling daily sales.
  12. Collaborate with other shift leads and store management to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  13. Stay informed about new products, promotions, and company initiatives to effectively promote and sell to customers.
  14. Follow all safety protocols and ensure the safety of employees and customers at all times.
  15. Continuously seek out ways to improve store operations, customer service, and employee engagement.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous Retail Experience: A Successful Shift Lead At Walgreens Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Customer Service, Inventory Management, And Sales Techniques.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Shift Lead, It Is Important To Effectively Communicate With Both Team Members And Customers. This Includes Providing Clear Instructions, Resolving Conflicts, And Delivering Exceptional Customer Service.

  • Leadership Abilities: The Ideal Candidate For A Shift Lead Position Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills. This Includes The Ability To Motivate And Manage A Team, Delegate Tasks, And Make Important Decisions In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Walgreens Policies And Procedures: It Is Essential For A Shift Lead To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Walgreens' Policies And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Cash Handling Procedures, And Company Protocols.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: As A Shift Lead, One Must Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Handle Unexpected Challenges. This Requires A Candidate Who Is Flexible, Able To Think On Their Feet, And Can Remain Calm Under Pressure.
