- Oversee daily operations of the store during assigned shifts.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
- Train and mentor team members on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and ordering as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company and safety policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with cash handling and balancing registers at the end of each shift.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to team members to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
- Conduct regular store audits to maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to company standards.
- Lead by example and uphold a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions with customers and team members.
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional development to enhance leadership skills and contribute to the overall success of the store.
- Collaborate with other Shift Leads and store management to create a positive and cohesive work environment.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by store management.
Previous Retail Experience: A Shift Lead At Walgreens Should Have Prior Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Experience Will Help Them Understand The Daily Operations Of A Store And How To Effectively Manage A Team.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Shift Lead, One Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Customers, And Upper Management. This Includes Being Able To Give Clear Instructions, Provide Feedback, And Handle Customer Complaints.
Leadership Abilities: A Shift Lead Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Motivate And Guide Their Team Towards Achieving Store Goals. They Should Also Be Able To Handle Conflicts And Make Difficult Decisions When Necessary.
Knowledge Of Walgreens Policies And Procedures: It Is Essential For A Shift Lead To Be Familiar With Walgreens' Policies And Procedures, Including Safety Protocols, Cash Handling, And Inventory Management. This Knowledge Will Help Them Ensure That The Store Is Running Smoothly And In Compliance With Company Standards.
Flexibility And Adaptability: Working As A Shift Lead At Walgreens Requires Being Able To Adapt To Changing Situations And Handle Unexpected Challenges. This Includes Being Able To Adjust Work Schedules, Delegate Tasks, And Problem-Solve On The Spot. A Willingness To Work Flexible Hours, Including Weekends And Holidays, Is Also Important For This Role.
