  1. Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing medication to patients accurately and efficiently.
  2. Ensure all prescriptions are filled in a timely manner and according to Walgreens' policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
  4. Process insurance claims and handle patient payments.
  5. Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  6. Learn and understand the various medications and their uses in order to provide accurate information to patients.
  7. Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy regulations and laws.
  8. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  9. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency within the pharmacy.
  11. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Assist in inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies.
  13. Follow safety and security protocols to prevent theft and ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  14. Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or supervising pharmacist.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship At Walgreens Requires Candidates To Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, Demonstrating A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge.

  • State Certification Or License: In Order To Work As A Pharmacy Technician, Candidates Must Have A State Certification Or License. This Demonstrates Their Understanding Of Pharmacy Laws And Regulations, As Well As Their Ability To Handle Medication Safely.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Pharmacy Technician, Effective Communication Is Essential When Interacting With Customers, Pharmacists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Possess Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills.

  • Attention To Detail: Pharmacy Technicians Must Be Detail-Oriented To Accurately Measure And Dispense Medications. They Must Also Be Able To Read And Interpret Prescription Orders With Precision.

  • Team Player: The Role Of A Pharmacy Technician Involves Working Closely With Pharmacists And Other Healthcare Professionals. Candidates Should Be Able To Work Well In A Team Setting, Following Instructions And Collaborating With Others To Provide Quality Patient Care.
