  1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department.
  2. Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations related to pharmacy operations.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacy.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and work with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications.
  5. Train and supervise pharmacy staff, providing guidance and support to improve performance and productivity.
  6. Handle customer inquiries and complaints, and address any issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement strategies to improve overall customer satisfaction.
  8. Maintain accurate records and reports related to pharmacy operations, including sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in pharmaceuticals to ensure the pharmacy is providing the best possible services to customers.
  10. Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications.
  11. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for pharmacy staff.
  12. Manage the budget for the pharmacy department and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for staff and customers, following all health and safety protocols.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the pharmacy department.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve processes and procedures to enhance the overall operation of the pharmacy.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Pharmacy Operations Manager At Walgreens Should Possess A Strong Educational Background In Pharmacy Or A Related Field Such As Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Or Finance.

  • Active Pharmacist License: As Walgreens Is A Retail Pharmacy, The Pharmacy Operations Manager Should Have An Active Pharmacist License To Oversee The Pharmacy Operations And Ensure Compliance With State And Federal Regulations.

  • Previous Management Experience In Pharmacy Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Managing Pharmacy Operations, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of The Day-To-Day Operations And Can Effectively Lead A Team.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Pharmacy Operations Manager, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Pharmacists And Pharmacy Technicians. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Manage And Motivate The Team.

  • Knowledge Of Inventory Management And Financial Analysis: To Effectively Manage Pharmacy Operations, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Management, Including Ordering, Stocking, And Proper Storage Of Medications. Additionally, Knowledge Of Financial Analysis And Budget Management Is Crucial For Maintaining The Profitability Of The Pharmacy.
