Welcome to Walgreens! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy department. As the Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, accuracy, and efficiency of our pharmacy services.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow management.
  2. Ensure the safety and accuracy of all pharmacy services, including proper handling and dispensing of medications.
  3. Monitor inventory levels and order medications and supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock.
  4. Implement and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures to comply with industry regulations and company standards.
  5. Train and supervise pharmacy staff on proper procedures and protocols, including medication dispensing and customer service.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as the store manager and healthcare providers, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports, including medication inventory, sales, and patient information.
  8. Monitor and track pharmacy performance metrics, such as prescription volume and customer satisfaction, and make necessary improvements.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for process improvements.
  10. Foster a positive and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among the pharmacy team.
  11. Handle and resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding pharmacy services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  12. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to pharmacy staff to maintain high-quality service.
  13. Develop and manage the pharmacy budget, making cost-saving decisions while maintaining high-quality standards.
  14. Participate in company meetings and trainings to stay informed on company updates and policies.
  15. Exemplify the company's values and mission, promoting a positive image and reputation in the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceuticals And The Healthcare Industry.

  • Previous Experience In Pharmacy Operations: Candidates For This Position Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Pharmacy Operations, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Experience Should Include Managing Inventory, Overseeing Staff, And Ensuring Compliance With Regulations.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: The Pharmacy Operations Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Pharmacists And Technicians. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role, Including The Ability To Motivate And Develop Staff, Make Difficult Decisions, And Effectively Communicate With Team Members.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Pharmacy Operations Manager Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Pharmacy Operations. This Includes Knowledge Of Controlled Substances, Prescription Labeling Requirements, And Hipaa Regulations.

  • Excellent Organizational And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Juggle Multiple Tasks And Responsibilities While Maintaining A High Level Of Accuracy. The Pharmacy Operations Manager Must Also Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise In The Pharmacy, And Implement Effective Solutions To Improve Efficiency And Customer Service.
