Pharmacy Intern

We’re looking for a driven and motivated Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Walgreens! This is an exciting opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and be comfortable with taking on new challenges. The ideal candidate should possess a current Pharmacy Intern License in the state of employment or have a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science. Additionally, they should have outstanding communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and stay organized in a constantly changing environment. Experience with filling prescriptions and working with computer systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

1. Fill prescriptions orders accurately and efficiently, following all safety protocols and legal requirements.
2. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
3. Assist in the ordering of medications and supplies, as well as the inventory control process.
4. Assist in the training and supervision of pharmacy technicians and interns.
5. Maintain patient records and other documentation in an organized and efficient manner.
6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, staff and vendors.
7. Adhere to all pharmacy regulations and laws, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
8. Monitor drug therapies and provide drug information to customers and other healthcare professionals.
9. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
10. Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and other tasks as assigned.
