Job Description

Lead policy analyst and strategist for retail policy, including privacy/tech, workforce, retail operations and products, or pharmacy and broader healthcare issues. Analyzes proposed legislation and drafts formal communications in response to government regulations, legislation and other official documents on behalf of Walgreens. Engages, advises and provides subject-matter expertise to members of Walgreens government relations team, including federal, state and local affairs to ensure their engagement and understanding of key issues impacting Retail USA business. Researches and stays informed about policy trends within the industry and ensures team members and internal business units are aware and understand emerging issues. Plays a leading role in engaging with stakeholders, both within and outside Walgreens about retail or pharmacy issues through direct participation in trade associations and other groups.

Job Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in government relations, trade association and/or retail public policy.

  • Experience analyzing, assessing and communicating policy research

  • Experience developing and executing public policy strategies

  • Experience working in a Retail and/or Healthcare environment

  • PharmD preferred

Compensation
